Commercial Sales Executive

Location: Reading, Medford, or Georgetown, MA

Currently, we are looking for a Commercial Sales Executive to join our team. We offer competitive base plus commissions and benefits, including; medical, dental, life and disability plans. Job Description: The Commercial Sales Executive is responsible for producing new business and managing the growth and retention of an existing book of business.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Uses Agency’s resources to generate new business opportunities through cold calling, marketing letters and e-mail campaigns for targeted prospects.
  • Handles all aspects of producing new business, including completing applications, quoting, creating proposals, reviewing coverage and issuing policies.
  • Be proficient with policy coverage, risk management, underwriting and the insurance marketplace.
  • Managing existing book of business by reviewing coverage & account rounding.
  • Attends meetings, seminars and programs to learn about new products and services.
  • Develops a strong team approach with inside sales reps & account managers.
  • Represents Agency positively and professionally.
  • Regular attendance is essential to this position.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Competencies:

  • Previous property and casualty experience is preferred but we are willing to train the right individual.
  • Current MA Individual Insurance license or willingness to obtain.
  • Previous Sales Experience
  • Highly self-motivated and positive attitude.
  • Strong computer skills – (experience using AMS360 preferred).
  • Proficient utilizing desktop applications such as MS Office (Excel, Word, Exchange).
  • Superior organizational and communication skills, flexibility, detail oriented, and an ability to work independently.
  • Strong documentation skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team atmosphere.
  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize.
