Commercial Account Manager

We seek a full-time, experienced Commercial Account Manager to service property and casualty accounts from our Reading office. Job Description: The Commercial Lines Account Manager is responsible for managing and retaining assigned accounts in our small business unit. Activities include but are not limited to new and renewal marketing, handling client inquiries and requests, coverage reviews and claims reporting, and assisting account executives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Initiates renewal process for existing clients and discusses and creates renewal strategies with Account Executives.
  • Performs day-to-day customer service of commercial insurance policyholders.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with customers.
  • Reviews policies for accuracy.
  • Binds insurance coverage and prepares binders and/or delegates certificate requests.
  • Prepares summaries and/or schedules of coverage for clients.
  • Responds to accounting inquiries and corrects discrepancies.
  • Participates in the claims process, including claim submission, follow-up, and ongoing communication.
  • Creates and maintains relationships with the insurance company partners.
  • Delivers superior customer service while adhering to guidelines and workflows.
  • Completes other duties as assigned.

Required Competencies:

  • Current Massachusetts Individual Insurance license or willingness to obtain.
  • Minimum three years of agency experience.
  • Strong computer skills (experience using AMS360 preferred).
  • Superior organizational and communication skills, flexible, detail-oriented, and can work independently.
  • Excellent documentation skills.
  • Able to work well in a team atmosphere.
  • Exceptional time management skills, with the ability to prioritize.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
